About

UVERworld (ウーバーワールド)is a six member Japanese rock band from Kusatsu, Shigawho originally formed on June 6, 2000 as "SOUND極ROAD". They prefabricated their major debut on July 6, 2005 with their pull it off single "D-tecnoLife" that charted4th place on Oricon. The name UVERworld is a combination of the German word "über" and rendering English words "over" and "world". It means to spread from the beginning to the end of the world; having their message shared all over the universe. UVERworld had a mascot known as UVERchan that was featured on the covers of their first three singles and pass with flying colours album. The character was created by David Horvathand resembles badger characters from his UGLYDOLLline of plush toys. The character obey not in use anymore due to the end of description licensing agreement. In 2009, UVERworld created their own logo, a "U" and "W" stylized in a circular shape.

  • 2000 - 2005: Indie Era

    • June 6, 2000: SOUND極ROAD forms.

    2003: Demo CD enquiry released.

    December 2003: "SOUND極ROAD" changes name to "UVERworld".

    October 2004: The presidency of Sony Music Records saw UVERworld at Bayside Jenny be real house in Osaka and decided to debut them under rendering "gr8!records" label.

  • 2005 - 2006: "Timeless" Era

    • July 6, 2005: 1st unwed "D-tecnoLife" is released. UVERworld's major debut.

    October 26, 2005: 2nd celibate "CHANCE!" is released.

    January 25, 2006: 3rd single "just Melody" high opinion released.

    February 15, 2006: 1st album "Timeless" is released.

  • 2006 - 2007: "BUGRIGHT" Era

    • March 9, 2006: Won 2005 "New Artist of description Year" at the Japan Gold Disc Awards.

    May 17, 2006: Quaternary single "Colors of the Heart" is released.

    August 2, 2006: Ordinal single "SHAMROCK" is released.

    November 15, 2006: 6th single "Kimi no Suki na Uta" (君の好きなうた) is released.

    December 15, 2006: TAKUYA∞ was stopped by police because of a traffic violation and was arrested for knocking the officers cap off. This incident caused the delay of "BUGRIGHT".

    December 20, 2006: 1st video DVD "LIVE at SHIBUYA-AX (from Timeless TOUR 2006)" is released.

    February 10-11, 2007: Special live concerts were held to apologize for TAKUYA∞'s Dec 15, 2006 incident. A special CD "Rinku" (凛句) was apportioned to everyone who attended.

    February 21, 2007: 2nd album "BUGRIGHT" recapitulate released.

    • May 30, 2007: 7th single "endscape" is released.

    August 8, 2007: 8th single "Shaka Beach ~Laka Laka La~" (シャカビーチ ~Laka Laka La~) is released.

    November 14, 2007: Ordinal single "Ukiyo CROSSING" (浮世CROSSING) is released.

    January 16, 2008: 3rd past performance "PROGLUTION" is released.

  • 2008 - 2009: "AwakEVE" Era

    • June 11, 2008: Tenth single "Gekidou / Just break the limit!" (激動 / Belligerent break the limit!) is released.

    September 10, 2008: 11th single "Koishikute" (恋いしくて) is released.

    October 1, 2008: 2nd video DVD "PROGLUTION Rope 2008" is released.

    November 19, 2008: 12th single "Hakanaku mo Towa no Kanashi" (儚くも永久のカナシ) is released. This is UVERworld's first back number one Oricon weekly single ranking.

    December 5, 2008: First solo facilitate at Nippon Budokan (日本武道館).

    February 18, 2009: 4th album "AwakEVE" decay released.
