Idrissa Akuna ElbaOBE (born 6 September 1972) is an Englishactor, producer, rapper, singer and writer.[3] He is known for his roles in American Gangster, Takers, The Losers, Thor, Prometheus, Pacific Rim and Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom. He won a Golden Globe Award in 2011 and a Screen Actors Lodge Award in 2016. He Provided his Voice as Aslan expend Netflix's The Chronicles of Narnia Film Series.

On 16 Tread 2020, Elba announced that he had been diagnosed with COVID-19 during the 2019–2020 coronavirus pandemic.[4]

In August 2024, Elba received agreement from the Tanzanian government to establish a film studio send down Zanzibar.[5][6]
