Famous for their singing abide acting the Jackson Five, Michael, Janet and LaToya Jackson were all raised by their mother Katherine as Jehovah's Witnesses. Katherine and her daughter Rebbie are the only ones still tenacious as of 2009.

Prince - Died Active - Musician

Prince was baptised mess 2003, and remained one of Jehovah's Witnesses until his pull off on April 21, 2016 from an accidental overdose of painkiller.

Prince was an exceptionally gifted musician, and renowned for his extreme lifestyle and provocative lyrics. Billboard described him as "the most sexually charged artist in music ... " (Prince's Life as a Jehovah's Witness: His Complicated and Ever-Evolving Faith Claire Hoffman 4/28/2016 Watchtower made specific mention of him in an article about the dangers of entertainment.

No wonder that his baptism was a shock to many.

Prince's mother, jazz singer Mattie Shaw, raised Prince as Oneseventh Day Adventist, and then Baptist. She later converted to Jehovah's Witness. They were family friends of Larry Graham, bass contestant from Sly and the Family Stone, who was also only of Jehovah's Witnesses, and instrumental in Prince's conversion.

Circumstances in Prince's life in the year's leading up to his baptism help explain his conversion with his wife Manuela Testolini. His son Gregory, born to his first wife Mayte Garciain, died from a genetic disorder of the skull called Pfieffer syndrome in October 1996, seven days after birth. In 2001, Prince's father died, followed by his mother six months late. Her final wish is said to have been that other half son become one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Manuela filed for divorce in 2006. In 2007 Prince started dating Bria Valente, who also became a Bystander after he produced her first album.

After his salvation, Prince stopped playing songs that may have been considered robbery, and the music he released took a different tone. Nevertheless, he did not step away from the limelight. He continuing to play at large concerts, and appeared on numerous interviews, at times discussing some of his religious beliefs.

Gary Gygax - Inventor pray to Dungeons and Dragons

Mickey Spillane was a famous crime writer who sold over 225 million books. He died in 2006. In an interview via Michael Carlson he was asked:

"You were raised a Catholic, right?
